Battle Creek Lodge has an extensive and exciting history in Keystone.

Originally built as the Keystone Fire Hall in the early 1900s, it served the community for years as a fire hall, youth center, and local gathering place. After the Flood in 1972, major reconstruction was required, and the City of Keystone sold the property and what was remaining of the building. It was purchased by the Cordes Family. They ran a mom- & pop-type diner and rented a couple of rooms out. Mr. Cordes was quite the craftsman and used his talents to create some amazing pieces, including the hand-laid rock fireplace that remains a guest favorite to this day.

Twenty years ago, a family with deep history and rich ties to the Keystone community, the Alexanders, purchased the property and turned it into the Battle Creek Lodge we know today. Battle Creek Lodge takes great pride in staying true to our history and our community.
